Welfare and Attendance Officer

Term time only

35 hours per week

39 working weeks plus holiday entitlement

Scale 5 Point 12 Salary £22,571.00 pro rata

London weighting £2,013.00 pro rata

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and well-motivated Welfare and Attendance Officer to join our school.

Our motto is ‘Learning for Life’ as we believe everyone is on a journey of discovery. Our school is a dynamic, supportive environment with a real TEAM ethos and an excellent, friendly staff.

Applicants must have experience of and be committed to:

  • Promoting and maintaining excellent school attendance and punctuality and to using management information systems
  • Multi-disciplinary working
  • Safeguarding procedures and practices including child protection work
  • Working with families to support vulnerable children

You will:

  • Have strong communication skills
  • Be able to use your initiative
  • Have excellent organisation skills
  • Value all children equally and share our inclusive ethos
  • Have Maths and English GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)

The Stonebridge School is a large Victorian school building, with a new purpose built KS1 bock, at the heart of a modern, vibrant community, which has undergone regeneration in the last few years.

We require an EXPERIENCED School Administrator and Admissions Officer in order that we can continue to provide a quality service to our children and their families. Our school’s motto is ‘Learning for Life’ and we expect all staff to recognise that they too are on a learning journey. Why not join us for a new and fulfilling experience?

If you are interested, then you will need to:

  • Be an all –round team player and support the School Office Manager in providing a first class service to the children and their families.
  • Be organised and ensure that the school office runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Be an excellent communicator, using a range of verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with a range of stakeholders.
  • Have a secure understanding of the computer software used in schools and be able to use technology confidently.
  • Meet the criteria on the Personal Specification and Job Description
